Peptide Trace

How we score research peptide vendors

Every score on this site comes from three checks you can repeat yourself in the vendor's own documents.

What we score

We read each vendor's public pages and give each of three checks a result of pass (2 points), partial (1 point) or fail (0 points). The three add up to a score out of 6.

  • Outside lab. Did a laboratory other than the vendor write the purity report, and is the lab named? A vendor's own bench report shows what the vendor believes. See how to read a certificate of analysis.
  • Batch matched. Does the report name the batch or lot you would receive? A result only describes the vial in front of you if the lot numbers agree. See how to spot a fake or copy-pasted COA.
  • Method stated. Does the report say which methods were run, such as HPLC for purity and mass spectrometry for identity? See HPLC and mass spectrometry.

The homepage also describes reproducibility, meaning whether a vendor publishes the raw trace and not only a percentage. The score itself adds up the three checks above.

What pass, partial and fail mean

Pass means the evidence is on the vendor's pages. Partial means some of it is there but incomplete, for example a report for one size of a product and an email request for another. Fail means we found none. Each review lists what the documents show and what we could not confirm, so you can see the reason for every result.

Where our facts come from

We read vendor pages and show the date we read them. The vendor findings on this site were last checked on 29 September 2026, and blog posts carry their own read dates. Prices, stock and lab results are the vendors' statements and can change. For regulatory and trial claims we cite primary sources such as FDA pages, drug labels and PubMed.

What we do not do

We have not tested any product, and no score is a measurement of what is in a vial. We do not give dosing, administration or protocol information, and we do not describe results for the body. We do not claim medical or laboratory credentials, and nothing here replaces them.

Affiliate links

Peptide Trace is an affiliate partner of Core Power Peptides and of American Peptides, and we earn a commission if you buy through a link to either. The commission does not change the score. The score follows the three checks, and each partner is scored lower where its paperwork falls short. Peptryn and American Peptides both score higher than Core Power Peptides on documentation today. See the comparison and the disclosure.

Corrections

If a finding is wrong, contact us with the page and the document that shows otherwise. We fix verified errors and note the date. We corrected one on 1 October 2026, when this site wrongly said no vendor we review sells retatrutide. The note is on the comparison page. We added American Peptides as a fourth vendor on 8 October 2026 and updated every earlier statement about which vendors list a compound.
